Now I just stuff it all in my bag and leave on time! Small steps, right? Plus, I could never just sit and watch TV. I just can't sit still and usually end up snacking too much! I use that time to do busy work while watching (even just cutting out lamination or cruising TPT and blogs). I've found that I prefer writing reports at home instead of in 10 or 20 chunks of time snatched throughout the week. It allows me to focus on the student better and write more cohesively. Whatever works!Rosemaryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08666885940160124271noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1342289785130571942.post-57637606334836583082015-09-09T17:54:47.061-07:002015-09-09T17:54:47.061-07:00Finally getting time to read this post I've be...Finally getting time to read this post I've been wanting to read. Of course there are exceptions, but there is always more than could be done and we have to learn to say no to the unnecessary. But I guess I have to follow what you've said... to learn how to advocate for myself. :) nikkidarganteshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10776404329891492495noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1342289785130571942.post-87465052643582482162015-02-08T08:27:37.500-08:002015-02-08T08:27:37.500-08:00It's wonderful to read this! It did neither me nor my family any good. My kids spent many hours waiting for me (at least there were friends to play with at school) and even had dinner at my desk when my husband would bring in pizza and then take them home, I would stay and complete my work. No more! I get to school at 7:15 and leave by 4:00. If it can't be done between those hours, it doesn't. I would rather come home, exercise, do a load of laundry, cook dinner, and read a book in bed than watch my life go by. It's too bad I learned this so late. I'm proud of you for recognizing it now! Well done, Natalie!
